Finance Analyst - Hybrid - Indianapolis, IN 

Description:

This role involves providing comprehensive finance support to the US Defense Finance team, particularly as the business expands and the team engages in several special projects. The successful candidate will leverage a broad skill set, including Financial Control, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Business Partnering skills.

The ideal candidate should have familiarity with financial reporting, a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work within an Agile environment, quickly adapting to new tasks and responsibilities.

Key Accountabilities:

• Support the monthly financial reporting process for Defense, including posting journals, completing actual and forecast schedules, and providing commentary and variance analysis.
• Provide Business Partner services as needed.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the Strategic Plan, Five Year Plan, in-year forecasts, and assess opportunities, threats, and levers.
• Conduct monthly Balance Sheet reviews, validate and explain key Balance Sheet movements, and address key control items.
• Present financial data to management, and validate and explain accounting policies, principles, and procedures.
• Enhance financial processes and ensure alignment with related processes.
• Research and review accounting issues, offering recommendations and support.
• Aid in the development and maintenance of long-term project and contract profit plans, including Long-Term Contract Reviews (LTCRs).
• Provide ad hoc support, including contract billings, payments, and miscellaneous financial analysis as required.

Basic Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree with at least 4+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience; or
• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• SAP Experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• CPA or MBA.
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Reporting.
• Experience in Aerospace/Manufacturing.
• Experience with VBM, HFM, Oracle.
