Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Podiatrist to join our Orthopaedic practice. As a Podiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical and clinical care to patients with foot and ankle disorders. Selected applicant would be taking over an established podiatrist’s patients and be part of the excellent referral system within Desert Orthopedic Center. Duties:
- Diagnose and treat patients with various foot and ankle conditions, including but not limited to bunions, hammertoes, and plantar fasciitis.
- Conduct thorough physical exams, review medical histories, and perform necessary diagnostic tests such as X-rays and MRIs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that may include medications, physical therapy, and surgical procedures.- Expected to be in clinic 5 days a week with the opportunity to perform limited surgery.
- No call obligations required but do have the opportunity to take call at local hospitals if interested.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including our orthopaedic foot and ankle fellowship-trained surgeons and physical therapists to provide comprehensive care.- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in podiatry.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as a Podiatrist in the state of NV or willing to obtain NV license- Board certification or qualification in Podiatric Medicine or a related specialty.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Experience with data collection and the ability to maintain accurate patient records.- Familiarity with infection control protocols and the ability to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Experience with hospital-based care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of neonatology and the ability to provide care to patients with chronic conditions.
- Experience with cardiology and the ability to identify and treat cardiovascular-related foot and ankle conditions.- Strong discharge planning skills and the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Ability to operate independently and make sound medical decisions.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and provide excellent patient care.
Pay is dependent on experience
