We are looking for an exceptional, ethical and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our amazing team. This individual will be working in a fast-paced environment with an outstanding doctor and medical staff. This individual must be trustworthy, a team player and provide quality patient care. Having a MA certification and experience is preferred but not required. Bilingual abilities are a plus as well.
Job responsibilities are (but not limited to):
Greet patients and assist patients/caregivers
Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to appointments
Check vision and dilate patients
Placing patients into exam rooms
Charting patients' information-past medical/surgical/family/social history
Assisting physician with injections in the eyes, ultrasounds of eyes, laser treatments of the eyes and scribing during examinations of patients
Taking diagnostic photos of patients on OCT and Optos machines
Injecting patients with fluorescein for fluorescein angiography diagnostic photos
Check out patients accordingly to the physician's instructions
Assist efficient flow of information between patients and medical staff
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including flexibility, priority setting, problem solving, and willingness to learn and adapt
Maintain highly positive attitude
Utilize time and complete tasks in a timely manner
