Job Title: Computer Technician

Location: Grapevine, Tx

Shift and pay:

1st Shift: 6:45am-3:15pm Mon-Fri $16/hr

Mid Shift: 11:00am-7:30pm Mon-Fri $16.50/hr

Position Summary:

The Depot Division is seeking a skilled Computer Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various computer components to ensure optimal functionality. With a focus on attention to detail and technical expertise, the technician will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot computer hardware and electronic components to identify faults and malfunctions.
• Use of a soldering iron to remove and replace board level components
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and component replacements on desktops, laptops, servers, and peripheral devices.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, including multi-meters and oscilloscopes, to analyze electronic circuits and systems.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to understand component specifications and repair procedures.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to develop innovative solutions for complex repair challenges.
• Track repair activities and maintain accurate records using Excel or other database software.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking component usage and identifying replenishment needs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in computer repair or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking data and recording repair activities.
• Experienced working with different models/brands of computers (ex. Dell, HP, Apple, Asus, Lenovo, etc.).
• Strong understanding of computer hardware components and their functions.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Experience using diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical dexterity and ability to lift and move equipment as required.
