Carrier Relationship Manager (B2B Collections)

Position Purpose:
Our Carrier Relationship Managers are vital to ConData’s mission.
The Carrier Relationship Manager role is a professional B2B collections position, working directly with domestic and global carriers to resolve payment disputes and collect overpayments identified in the post payment Audit process. As we are acting on behalf of our Fortune 500 clients, our collections efforts are conducted with the utmost professionalism to maintain and improve business relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a pipeline of invoicing claims by establishing weekly and monthly work strategies and priorities, deadlines, and activity plans to meet and exceed collections/recovery goals
- Research transportation carriers’ contacts, processes, systems, and business priorities to implement collections techniques for effective and rapid claims resolution
- Responsible for proactive follow-up on the receipt and resolution of all past due claim balances within assigned carrier portfolios
- Address collections obstacles and get results utilizing outstanding critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills alongside assertive collection techniques
- Investigate historical data for each carrier’s claim, or groups of claims for specific clients using ConData systems and reporting
- Collaborate with ConData Auditors, Client Account Managers and management and escalate efficiently to overcome issues and obstacles to settlement
- Coordinate account adjustments, small balance write off, settlement reconciliations, and processing credit memos with ConData Audit and Accounting teams
- Provide detailed reports on collection activities and weekly, monthly, and quarterly collections and goal achievement forecasts
- Work directly with teammates, other departments, and leadership on projects and processes as needed
- Adhere to ConData policy and procedures.
Requirements:
- Excellent B2B collections and relationship management skills with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing large, complex books of business
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 (two) years of experience in a high-volume collections' capacity
- Familiarity with logistics contracts, charge types and pricing, preferably across multiple modes of transport
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to interpret, present, and explain data to carriers and business partners
- Excellent web conferencing and telephone communication and presentation skills
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple objectives and tasks concurrently
- Ability to recognize when to quickly escalate issues to other departments or the management team and willingness to act accordingly
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned financial goals and KPIs
- Maintain and control confidential company, client, and carrier data
- Precisely and chronologically document all carrier communications according to ConData’s policy and procedures
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills - Excel (pivot table and v-look ups, etc.), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Experience with JIRA or similar service management software is highly preferable.
Job Type: Full-time Hybrid Office/ Remote
Base Salary: $55,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year based on experience
This role is eligible for bonus incentives
