Our Lady's Academy in Waltham , MA, is a vibrant Catholic PreK-8th grade school that is seeking a nurse to share this position with another nurse. This is a job-share position.  This individual must be a caring, compassionate, flexible, outgoing, experienced professional who loves taking care of children and prioritizes communication and engagement. 

This position requires shared administrative work as well as one-on-one time with students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Consultation with school administration, teachers and parents regarding student care on the days that you are present

Contact administration, parents, and EMT's when necessary for emergency situations.

Communicate with your nurse colleague via notes and SNAP, a medical program.  

Monitor student immunization records

Educate students on hand-washing, germs and other health care and safety issues

Monitor and dispense prescription medications as needed and based on instructions from medical professionals and PCP's

QULIFICATIONS

Registered nurse license

School Nurse certification preferred

BLS/CPR certification

2+ years of experience

Ability to assess situations and act quickly

Strong organizational skills

Ability to establish rapport with faculty,  students and their parents

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SNAP Health System or willingness to learn
