Job Title: Certified School Nurse

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Certified School Nurse to join our teamin Monaca, PA. As a vital member of our educational community, the School Nurse will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of our high school students. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional nursing services, managing health records, and collaborating with staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify and address students' health needs.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with state regulations and school policies.
3. Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care.
4. Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, including immunization records and medical history.
5. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement health plans for students with chronic conditions.
6. Educate students on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyles.
7. Conduct vision and hearing screenings as required by state regulations.
8. Provide first aid and basic medical care to students and staff as needed.
9. Participate in the development and implementation of school health policies and procedures.
10. Serve as a resource for teachers, staff, and parents on health-related issues.

Qualifications:

1. Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.
2. Certification as a School Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania.
3. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
4. Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
7. Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to school health services.
8. Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
