Overview: 

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager/Coordinator with experience in the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and Construction & Demolition (C&D) sectors. The ideal candidate will oversee safety protocols, ensure compliance with industry standards, and implement safety training programs. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with MTA and C&D industry standards.

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.

• Coordinate safety training programs for employees, including C3 and C5 protocols, Track Training, and ADA compliance.

• Ensure compliance with PMG 123 safety regulations and other relevant safety codes.

• Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures.

• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to integrate safety requirements into project plans and schedules.

• Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents for regulatory reporting.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience as a Safety Manager or Coordinator in the MTA and C&D sectors.

• In-depth knowledge of C3 and C5 safety protocols, Track Training procedures, and ADA project requirements.

• Familiarity with PMG 123 regulations and other relevant safety standards.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify safety risks and propose solutions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams.

• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and safety management software.
