Location: South Carolina (100% onsite)
Compensation: $80k - $120k
Relocation: Up to $5k, for out-of-state candidates only
Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Controller to manage financial operations for a confidential mid-size manufacturing company in South Carolina. This hands-on role requires a strong leader to manage financial systems, implement MRP/ERP, and ensure precise financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have broad expertise in financial management, costing, forecasting, and compliance. This position demands an independent operator, comfortable with overseeing the entire financial function of a small manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- MRP/ERP Management: Lead the implementation and management of the JobScope MRP system, including training and operational oversight.
- Financial Operations: Manage all accounting functions, including A/R, A/P, payroll, inventory control, and production planning with a focus on costing and budgeting for manufacturing.
- Reporting: Produce standard and custom financial reports for both the CEO and the parent company, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Forecasting & Cash Flow: Manage financial forecasting and cash flow, particularly during tight financial situations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with payroll and regulatory standards, including firearms-related compliance if applicable.
- Inventory Management: Oversee and report inventory data to maintain accuracy and align with company goals.
- Executive Collaboration: Participate in board meetings with other sister companies and work closely with corporate finance teams.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in accounting, particularly in a manufacturing environment, with a strong progression of responsibility.
- Expertise in MRP/ERP systems, ideally with JobScope, and proven experience in implementation and training.
- Deep understanding of multi-component product manufacturing, costing, and budget management.
- Ability to independently manage A/R, A/P, and other key financial functions.
- Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Compliance knowledge in manufacturing environments (firearms experience is a plus but not required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA is nice to have but not mandatory.
