Seeking a highly-skilled Bookkeeper who wants Part-Time (15-20 hrs/wk) employment in a remote work setting! Our client is a residential remodel company with over 12 years of experience providing full-service, general contracting services to Seattle, WA customers who want their projects “built green.” Mighty House Construction states that “any house can be a Mighty House” and believes sustainable building practices should be part of every building project! We are seeking a talented and dedicated Bookkeeper to work directly with the Owner to ensure the numbers all add up.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as company expert on QuickBooks Online.
- Expense Tracking, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Account Reconciliation.
- Ability to reconcile accounts on a weekly basis (monthly at minimum).
- Track company credit card usage (for owners and 3-4 employees).
- Human Resources (HR) duties as required to include but not limited to: onboarding, new hire paperwork, assistance with PTO, time tracking, and assisting employees with software platforms.
- Preparation of quarterly and monthly city and state reports and preparation for yearly taxes.
- Invoice clients in accordance with project contracts and track payments.
- Drafting of all contracts, estimates, and documents for clients to sign.
- Run regular Job/Project Cost Reports.
- Establish good working relationship with other team members and owners.
- Foster positive communications and relationships with vendors, suppliers and clients.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of full time (or equivalent) experience in bookkeeping.
- Highly skilled in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel as well as cloud-based applications for time tracking and task management.
- QuickBooks Time, Gusto, Todoist, Co-Construct, and Dropbox proficiency and/or general knowledge preferred.
- A methodical thinker with an extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to track details for multiple projects/functions in a fast-paced environment.
- Curious, asks questions, and is able to collect and synthesize data from multiple sources.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills and is comfortable and proactive in initiating communication with employees, clients, and vendors.
- Knowledge of construction industry financials preferred.
- Ability to complete monthly, quarterly taxes, DOR, W-2s, and 1099s preferred.
- Ability to oversee Payroll Processing (using cloud-based system and time tracking app to upload staff hours into QuickBooks).
- Works a consistent and predictable schedule.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction at times AND work closely with supervisor (Owner).
- Able to successfully pass background check.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
