Job Title: 3rd Shift Production Manager

Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced 3rd Shift Production Manager to join our team. You will lead a team of approximately 40 direct reports and 20 indirect reports, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance in a custom manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

• 7-10+ years of experience in a production environment, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing machine operators.
• Strong experience in Lean 5S, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement projects, with the ability to quantify results.
• Mechanical aptitude, with familiarity or the ability to quickly learn the operation of Flexographic Presses, Laminators, Converting, and Slitting equipment.
• Proficiency in using MRP/ERP systems (experience with Radius ERP is a plus).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Ability to work independently during the 3rd shift, ensuring all departments function smoothl
• Nice to Have:
• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in printing, packaging, plastics, or food packaging industries.
• Spanish language skills are a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support the converting department, overseeing machine operators and ensuring production goals are met.
• Communicate effectively with employees to ensure proper setup and operation of equipment, maintaining a high standard of productivity and safety.
• Implement and lead Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement projects, with a focus on achieving measurable results and operational efficiency.
• Utilize MRP/ERP systems to manage production schedules, inventory, and workflow.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, embodying a leadership style that is consultative and diplomatic.
• Participate in daily executive meetings, contributing to strategic discussions and decision-making processes.
