DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging customers
Possess a professional appearance: requires business casual attire, lab coat with proper identification on name tag
Knowledge of pharmacy computer systems
Oversees the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions medications to patients or medical practitioners
Oversees the preparation of all necessary records on prescriptions and other pharmacy related records
Supports for the financial performance of the pharmacy as a unit of the overall organization
Partners with Manager in implementation and delivery of business growth initiatives
Effectively and consistently communicates administrative directives to pharmacy staff
Responsible for the supervision, training and development, and recruitment processes necessary for pharmacy staff
Responsible for delivering pharmacy staff progress improvement plans and staff accountability by adhering to company policy in line with the current Strategic Improvement Plan
Responsible for the planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling of all pharmacy operations.
Performs any other duties as assigned by the appropriate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

Professionalism is demonstrated at all time with all employees, providers, patients, healthcare professionals and any other stakeholders of the company.
Knowledge of the use, clinical effects, and composition of drugs, including their chemical, biological, and physical properties.
Uses a logical process to gather and analyze information.
Makes decisions, render judgments, take action or commit to specific assignments, within the framework of the assigned job and work group.
Demonstrate ability to maintain performance level in pressure situations.
Self-starter who voluntarily originates actions to achieve results consistent with the business’ goals.
Cooperates and interacts effectively with others; and, uses tact and diplomacy in addressing concerns and strives to maintain a collaborative approach to work.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy recognized by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education
Hold an active and good standing Pharmacy License in the state of practice (Michigan)
2 years manager experience in a staff pharmacy setting (REQUIRED)
Specialty Pharmacy experience (highly preferred)
Strong leadership skills
