Job Title: Mechanical Engineer / Programmer
Location: East Bernard, TX

This position performs engineering duties in planning, developing and running programs on the applicable CNC machines to produce production parts.

Job duties and responsibilities will include:

• Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools needed to machine work pieces into the desired shapes.
• The CNC Programmer has to have the capacity to do programs 5th
• Revised programs to eliminate errors, and test programs to check that problems have dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
• Understand Geometry and Tolerances.
• Determine reference points, machine cutting paths, or hole locations, and computing angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures.
• Observe machines on trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs and machinery will function properly and produce items that meet specifications.
• Compare g-code with original part specifications and blueprints to verify accuracy of instructions.
• Write and document part programs with instructions and in-process drawings with high degree of accuracy so machinist can understand instructions on how to run the programs with ease.
• Modifying existing programs to enhance efficiency.
• Educations Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years prior manufacturing experience
• 3+ years CNC Programming experience
• Must have experience in AutoCAD and Gibbs CAM Software
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.

Physical Demands:

Standing, walking, bending, sitting, reaching outward, and reaching above shoulders, climb stairs, squatting, kneeling, bending, good sense of sound, vision, sense of smell, sense of touch, ability to wear personal protective equipment such as steel toe boots and safety glasses when needed.
