Our client, a renowned leader in medical device manufacturing, is seeking exceptional talent to join their team. This role involves executing strategies, creating marketing materials, managing tradeshows, and supporting the franchise. The Product Manager also keeps the sales team updated on new products, sales strategies, and competitive insights, while providing technical support. Plus, you'll collaborate on promotions and handle daily marketing tasks with enthusiasm!
**Hybrid role – 3 days in office, two days work from home***
Responsibilities:
- Execute marketing strategies and tactics to ensure products in the assigned portfolio achieve revenue and operating profit targets.
- Handle requests from the sales force related to general product information, literature, and samples for trade and distributor shows.
- Coordinate, follow up, and resolve product quality and performance issues.
- Develop sales and marketing tactics, including brochures, trade advertising, training manuals, show materials, and other collateral, with input from Marketing and Sales.
- Routinely communicate with the sales force regarding product updates and availability, competitive activity, sales positioning, best practices, and new product development updates.
- Oversee the inventory of all product literature and reprints.
- Work with Marketing Communications to ensure effective product positioning at trade shows and symposia.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, business, biological/clinical science, or engineering; or equivalent clinical qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, specifically the cardiovascular / cardiology space
- A minimum of 5 years of overall business experience in product management in the medical device marketplace, or a minimum of 3 years of marketing experience with additional experience in medical device engineering and/or sales.
- Ability to understand complex medical procedures and engage in in-depth technical conversations with physicians, staff, and key opinion leaders
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well with Territory Managers, Region Managers, and customers both over the phone and in person.
- Demonstrated track record of managing products, including meeting revenue and profit objectives.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Strong teamwork skills and adept at working cross-functionally.
- This position is primarily office-based, with approximately 30% overnight travel required, including occasional weekends. Visits to hospitals and other medical facilities are also necessary. Many of these facilities have vendor credentialing policies requiring vendors to meet specific training, background check, and immunization standards. Compliance with these credentialing requirements is mandatory.
- While visiting hospitals and medical facilities, access to and work in the IR suite, Cath lab, and operating room are essential. This includes wearing appropriate gowning, standing for extended periods, adhering to hospital policies and protocols, and being mindful of potential biohazards such as blood-borne pathogens.
