Contingent on award, Ampersand Solutions Group (AMPERSAND) has a requirement for one or more Cloud Engineers who will support a critical DoD mission providing expert hybrid multicloud engineering and/or scientific solutions in a multi-classification environment.

Scope: Experience working in an Agile IT environment establishing a cloud-based technology in a government provided hybrid cloud environment with security, performance, operability, and scale for customers utilizing DoD mission technology. Candidate will drive technical design through collaboration with leads and product owners to understand solution requirements and identify architectural patterns.  Help other development and engineering teams resolve application to platform integration issues for Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) services. Offer a thorough understanding of Machine Learning (ML), data analysis, data visualization, and event-driven architectures.  Collaborate with end-users to optimize integration and user experience.  Develops cloud reference architectures in support of customer requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 0-5 years of relevant, related experience plus:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other relevant field or:
    • Associates Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution plus 2 years relevant, related experience
    • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited institution plus 4 years relevant, related experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance at the appropriate level
  • DoD Instruction 8570.01M IA certification
  • Willing to periodically travel in support of test events

Desired Qualifications

• ACTIVE DoD SECRET or TOP SECRET Clearance
• Experience supporting the US Ballistic Missile Defense System
• Certified in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or VMWare
• Experience architecting and managing classified systems
