Software Engineer Job Description
Beast Code is seeking a geometry rendering rock star! Beast Code has more than 10 years in the industry developing industry leading web-based rendering of 3D geometry. Recognizing "a rolling stone gathers no moss", Beast Code is looking to hire a rock star to make sure we stay at the tip of the spear, a head of the competition. We are looking for world class talent who understands 3D geometry processing and rendering stem to stern (those are nautical terms, as we work with the US Navy). Not only do we want to see your resume, and hear you say you have done amazing things, and have the experience and competency to be our rock star, we will make our selection based on what you can show. This job might be for you if you are familiar with and enjoy:
-Solving the hard problems with mathematical equations and different programming languages
-Keep up to date with software development industry standards and new developments to keep the company on the leading edge.
-Proving that you are a software engineering ROCK STAR
-Flexing the skills to show you know when to use different languages
You should bring these skills to the table:
-Conversion pipelines from CAD authoring environments to formats to render extremely large scenes.
-Have experience working with commercial and open-source rendering engines to process exceptionally large scenes.
-Candidate should understand Babylon in depth, and a dozen other engines, with pros and cons of each.
-Demonstrate an understanding for efficient data handling, storage, and drawing.
-An ideal interview will consist of a candidate pointing toward a git-hub repo of work.
-Candidate will have located an exceptionally large STEP model, performed automated conversion to a decimated format. Data will be organized in a an extremely efficient
manner, implementing instancing (or rationale for not).
-Candidate will either demonstrate the pros and cons of using various rendering engines or be able to speak to the pros and cons from experience.
-Lastly, the candidate will demonstrate the rendering of the decimated model from the selected rendering engine and be able to talk about how the experience is tailored for
speed and not comfort.

Software Engineer I
