Physical Therapist
As a Clinic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will support occupational therapists in delivering patient-centered care within a clinical setting. Your role involves implementing treatment plans, assisting with therapeutic activities, and monitoring patient progress. You will work directly with patients to help them achieve their therapy goals, provide education on therapeutic techniques, and ensure a smooth and effective therapy process.
Setting: Out Patient Clinic
Population: Geriatric population
Monday - Friday NO WEEKENDS
Responsibilities:
Implement and facilitate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
Assist patients with exercises and activities aimed at improving functional skills and independence.
Document patient progress, responses to treatment, and any changes in condition.
Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques, home exercises, and strategies for daily living.
Maintain and organize therapeutic equipment and supplies.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Certification Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
2 years of experience
Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance or a related field.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required.
