We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Topeka, Kansas, 66615, United States. In this role, you will be charged with the responsibility of managing customer accounts, processing applications, and resolving customer inquiries in an accurate and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the set up of billing, verification of compensation worksheets, and enrollments.
• Regularly reconcile monthly vendor billing with sales reports and payroll deductions.
• Accurately post daily deposits and maintain financial records.
• Address billing related questions and inform the team of any significant problems or issues.
• Assist with the management and distribution of communications and printed materials for benefits and/or education programs.
• Attend meetings and conferences as required, taking minutes and maintaining detailed records.
• Assist with year-end closing and set up of records each year.
• Maintain up-to-date participant data within Benefits Access, ADP (non-paid clergy only), and Shelby.
• Assist with enrollments and terminations for all benefit plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the team.• Proficiency in handling Daily Deposits
• Capability to Reconcile Vendor Statements
• Experience in conducting Year End Closings
• Ability to take Meeting Minutes accurately and timely
• Expertise in Benefits Administration
• Ability to Maintain Records in an organized and systematic manner
• Familiarity with different types of Benefit Packages
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions
• Good interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and clients
• A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
