- We are looking for a part-time to full-time(3-4 days) Dental Hygienist for our solo, privately-owned dental office of 25 years.
- Our office is a non-insurance and high-quality complete care office. We pride ourselves in being the wonderful opposite to high insurance, high patient loads, and high pressure sales which allows us to treat patients with more quality and less stress. Our office staff number is small and we prefer this team approach to dentistry and care for our team and patients. We have state of the art technology in digital impressions and x-rays and provide patients with most all specialties in-house including placing implants, Cerec crown and bridge, PrimePrint digital printing, SureSmile, oral surgeries and endodontics. We utilize Dentrix and Dexis applications. As a Dental Hygienist, you should be extremely reliable and be willing to participate in continuing education. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. Dental Hygiene techniques should be thorough and gentle with utmost care for each patient. Most importantly, having a great attitude and honesty in our family atmosphere is required.
- Check oral health history and medications
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
- Routinely probe and identify periodontal concerns
- Take digital x-rays and intraoral photographs as appropriate
- Clean and help protect patient's teeth (Excellence at remove calculus, plaque and root planing)
- Apply fluoride, sealants, dentin desensitizer, and Arestin as needed
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (good brushing and flossing techniques)
- Assist dentist with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
- Monitor supplies
- Help with Sterilization of instruments and general cleaning
