Key responsibilities:

• Oversee compliance with current government regulations related to payroll.
• Develop and implement policies on matters such as garnishments and payroll advancements to employees.
• Prepare government reporting related to payroll activities.
• Manage the preparation of accruals and the reconciliation of sub-ledger to the general ledger.
• Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of payroll-related processes.
• Utilize HR Payroll Systems to manage and process payroll.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll tax requirements and regulations.
• Liaise with internal departments and external agencies as necessary to resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues.
• Monitor and analyze payroll processes, implementing improvements as necessary.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of payroll records and information.

• Proficient in HR Payroll Systems

• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in overseeing a payroll team

• Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field is preferred
