Position: Full-Time BCBA
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team and provide behavior analysis services to K-12 students across the cities near Marathon, Key Largo, and Marco Island, Florida. This full-time position involves conducting behavioral assessments, designing and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans, and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Behavioral Assessments:
Conduct prehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors and determine effective intervention strategies.
Utilize various assessment tools and methodologies to gather data and inform decision-making.
Behavior Intervention Plans:
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment results.
Design and apply evidence-based strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive behavioral outes.
Regularly review and adjust intervention plans to ensure effectiveness and adapt to students' changing needs.
Direct Services:
Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students, focusing on behavior modification and skill development.
Monitor and document students' progress, making data-driven adjustments to interventions as necessary.
Consultation and Collaboration:
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support the implementation of behavior intervention plans and promote consistency across environments.
Offer training and guidance to educators and parents on behavior management techniques and strategies.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan for students' behavioral and educational needs.
Crisis Intervention:
Provide support and intervention during behavioral crises, ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff.
Develop and implement crisis management plans as needed.
Record Keeping and pliance:
Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, intervention plans, and progress reports.
Ensure pliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to behavior analysis and special education.
Professional Development:
Stay current with developments in the field of behavior analysis and incorporate best practices into service delivery.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Masters degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
Previous experience working with K-12 students, preferably in an educational or school setting.
Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
Excellent munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and caseloads.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with a diverse student population.
Familiarity with local school districts in Marathon, Key Largo, and Marco Island, FL.
Experience with crisis intervention and management.
