Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year institution
• Proficiency in standard cost accounting
• Extensive experience in manufacturing
• At least five years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with Sage software is a plus
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the establishment of standard costs for new parts and review and analyze standard costs for existing parts
• Provide cost support to various cross-functional teams as needed
• Supply product cost information for month-end financial closing
• Analyze the purchase price variance general ledger account
• Audit cycle count activities, including item selection, recount decisions, discrepancy research, and reporting on root causes and progress towards improving quantity and physical accuracy
• Prepare, review, and distribute daily absorption reports, comparing them with forecasts
• Manage inventory and related work order systems, including reconciliations from physical to perpetual to general ledger, journal entries, audit explanations, and standard costs
• Oversee periodic requirements of manufacturing systems to ensure timely and accurate standards and gross margins, providing meaningful analysis of results
• Manage the preparation and execution of the annual standard cost roll
