We are looking to bring on board a Data Architect: I (Junior) based in Columbus, Ohio. This role is pivotal to our team, focused on the end-to-end process of deploying machine learning models at scale. The position opens up a short term contract employment opportunity. Our team is deeply invested in leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to drive impactful business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with data scientists to refine models and ensure they are optimized for production
• Maintain and improve our MLOps infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines and ensuring compliance with IT and security standards
• Play a critical role in image management, vulnerability remediation and the deployment of ML models using modern infrastructure-as-code practices
• Manage and update Docker images to ensure they are secure and optimized
• Deploy, manage and scale AWS services SageMaker, S3, Lambda using Terraform
• Automate the spin-up and spin-down of AWS infrastructure using Terraform scripts
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Integrate CI/CD practices with model deployment processes ensuring smooth productionization of ML models
• Participate in the end-to-end process of productionizing machine learning models, from model deployment to monitoring and maintaining their performance
• Work with large language models focusing on implementing near real-time and batch processing workloads• Proficiency in SQL and Python is required
• Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS
• Knowledge of DevOps and deployment strategies
• Must have a solid understanding of data architecture, engineering, and optimization
• Experience in production automation practices
• Ability to work with R Code
• Experience with GIT for version control
• Understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) concepts
• Familiarity with contract administration
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams
• Experience with monitoring tools for system health checks
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment
• Ability to ensure compliance with data standards and regulations
• Knowledge of 'About Time' project management software
• Ability to scale out data architecture to meet business needs
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred
• Strong ability to integrate various data sources and databases
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
