The Director of Finance is tasked with managing the organization's financial activities, ensuring adherence to established accounting standards, and aligning financial practices with the organization’s strategic goals. Urgently Hiring!

Finance Director Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning, coordination, and management of the annual financial audit.
• Continuously monitor and adjust organizational processes throughout the year to align with Board-approved goals, financial objectives, and commitments.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s financial condition, regularly updating senior leadership, the Board, staff, and key external partners.
• Play a crucial role in employee and vendor contract management, as well as in legal matters.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director, consultants, and the Board of Directors in developing the annual operating budget.

Finance Director Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of California School Accounting standards and requirements.
• Highly proficient in hands-on financial analysis with the ability to prioritize and make prompt decisions.
• Strong understanding of the financial and strategic challenges faced by mission-driven, nonprofit organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with an MBA highly desired.
• A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in financial analysis and controllership.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, approachability, a sense of humor, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
