What You'll Do:
- Assess and Plan: Figure out the causes of challenging behaviors and create customized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for each student.
- Intervene and Support: Use proven behavioral strategies to help students reach their academic and behavioral goals. Youll work one-on-one and in small groups.
- Team Up: Work with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure everyone is on the same page with behavior plans.
- Track Progress: Keep an eye on student progress and tweak plans as needed.
- Train and Guide: Help teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff with behavioral strategies.
- Document Everything: Maintain detailed records of student progress and behavior data.
- Collaborate: Join meetings with school teams and parents to discuss student progress and make necessary changes.
What Were Looking For:
- Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or something similar.
- BCBA certification is a must.
- Experience working with elementary-aged kids, ideally in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of behavior analysis and evidence-based interventions.
- Great communication skills and the ability to work well with students, parents, and staff.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to students' needs.
