Seeking Special Education Teachers in Charlotte, NC

Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher
Dates of Employment: August 13, 2024 May 23, 2025
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 2:30 PM (37.5 hours per week)

Job Description:
We are in search of a dedicated Full-Time Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2023/2024 school year. This position will involve working across NB Mills Elementary and Troutman Middle/Elementary Schools. The role is focused on delivering specialized support in both Autism (AU) and adapted curriculum settings, with the aim of helping students achieve their academic and IEP goals.

Key Duties:

• Conduct student evaluations and assessments.
• Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide targeted instruction within Autism and Adapted Curriculum classrooms.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents to promote student success.
• Track and record progress in relation to IEP goals.
• Support students in both elementary and middle school environments.

Caseload Information:

• (2) Teachers for AU Classrooms NB Mills Elementary and Troutman Middle School.
• (1) Adapted Curriculum Teacher Troutman Elementary School, focusing on academic growth and IEP goal achievement for students with special needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid Special Education teaching certification for North Carolina.
• Experience in Autism and Adapted Curriculum settings is preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP procedures and implementation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
