We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator in Morris, Illinois. This role involves coordinating and managing logistical operations within our industry. This position will require close communication with various departments and the efficient handling of customer service related tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate regularly with production and warehouse personnel to ensure timely shipment of finished materials
• Prepare necessary documentation for shipping and production of finished products
• Regularly communicate with supervision and quality control personnel to balance inventory levels and transportation costs
• Work in tandem with the Scheduler and Facility Manager to establish or revise stock levels of finished materials
• Conduct weekly inventory checks of finished materials
• Troubleshoot and resolve delivery problems or shipping issues in collaboration with customer service representatives and carriers
• Address customer service related issues concerning SCAR, COA or other finished material, shipping or quality requirements
• Maintain close communication with internal stakeholders on issues related to shipments or material availability
• Utilize various business systems such as Cargowise, CRM, and ERP solutions to manage logistics processes
• Perform billing functions and maintain a high level of customer service and communication skills.• Proficiency in Business Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Knowledge of Cargowise and ERP Solutions
• Experience with About Time software
• Capability to handle Billing Functions effectively
• Excellent Communication skills
• Prior experience in Customer Service roles
• Familiarity with Customs regulations and processes
• Proficiency in CRM systems
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate complex logistics operations
• Problem-solving skills to address logistics challenges and improve processes
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Good understanding of supply chain procedures
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Experience in data analysis and reporting.
