Special Education Teacher Opportunity in Sharon, MA

ProCare Therapy is partnering with a school district in Sharon, MA, to fill four full-time, contract Special Education Teacher positions for the 2024-2025 school year, with potential for permanent hire. Qualifications:

• Educator License/Certificate in the state of Massachusetts

Schedule:

• Duration: 2024-2025 School Year
• Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 30-40 hours per week

Role Requirements:

• 2 Elementary Inclusion Room Teachers:
  • Support 1st, 3rd, or 5th grade
  • Approximately 10-15 students on caseload
  • Students with academic needs, behavioral needs, and various disabilities
• 1 Elementary Self-Contained Classroom Teacher:
  • Primarily grades K-2
  • Approximately 10-15 students on caseload
  • Students with autism, developmental delays, communication needs, behavioral needs, functional needs, academic needs, and independent living needs including toileting
• 1 High School Inclusion Room Teacher:
  • Support high school students with varying disabilities and needs
  • Caseload details to be discussed based on specific requirements

Responsibilities for All Positions:

• Teaching and case management
• Grading and updating progress each quarter
• Coordinating IEP meetings
• Performing other related duties as required

Schedule:

• Start Date: August 18, 2024
• School Hours: 8:35 AM - 4:05 PM
• Duty-Free Lunch: 30 minutes
• Length of Contract: Through June 18, 2025
