Job Title: Controller – Contract to hire

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including the general ledger, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and present timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts to senior management.
Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
Manage internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during audits.
Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to support business decisions.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Contract Pay: $55 to $65 an hour
Permanent Salary Range: $120K to $140K
