Diversified is hiring for a Maintenance Lead.
Midlothian, TX
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to; removes defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Performs preventive maintenance on production and maintenance equipment and utilities.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal-working shop tools to make and repair parts.
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
- Connects low voltage power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as low voltage motors, and lightning fixtures and replaces damaged or broken lighting fixtures.
- Replaces blown fuses, reset breakers, and overload relays for lighting and equipment's.
- Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance worsrs to diagnose malfunction.
- Lays out wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on metal stock surfaces.
- Reports to Manager or Supervisor status of pending and ongoing jobs.
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.
