Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician (Contract Position)

Location:Shreveport, LA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Job Overview:
Join our team as a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician and leverage your experience in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. This contract role is ideal for those with a passion for precision and ensuring the highest standards of medication preparation and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sterile Compounding & Prescription Processing: Accurately prepare, compound, and label prescriptions while adhering to USP 797 standards.
• Patient Care & Support: Assist in ensuring a positive patient experience through timely and accurate medication delivery.
• Inventory Management:
  • Receive and verify incoming supplies.
  • Stock and organize materials.
  • Monitor expiration dates and manage shortages.
  • Pick and pack orders for patient deliveries.
  • Create and manage order tickets.
• Facility & Equipment Maintenance:
  • Clean and sanitize laminar flow hoods and work surfaces regularly.
  • Ensure all supplies are clean and properly stored.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent sterile compounding experience.
• Licensing: Active and clear Louisiana Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
