MAU is hiring a Human Resources Generalist for GITI Tire in Richburg, SC. As a
Human Resources Generalist, you will provide advice, counsel, and support for assigned Business Center(s) team members and managers regarding employee performance, attendance, and behavioral issues. You will interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and guidelines and monitor and oversee adherence to HR, State, Federal, and corporate compliance rules and regulations. This “hands-on” role will be a member of the assigned Business Center leadership team(s) primarily focusing on supporting production floor employee relations.

The GITI Tire Manufacturing (USA), Ltd. is proud to be the first North American plant and will produce passenger and light truck tires for the replacement and original equipment markets.Shift Information- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional night shift, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM or 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Cover special events as needed
Required Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, English, Psychology, or a related field
- 5+ years or more hands-on HR Generalist experience
- Proven experience managing multiple priorities (investigations, recruitment activities, and projects) and manufacturing facility
- Professional certification as a PHR or SPHR; OR
- Knowledge of and experience with employment law and Human Resources best practices
General Requirements- Thorough knowledge of conducting workplace investigations and behavioral interviewing techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications (word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS/recruiting or Applicant Tracking
- Strong influential leadership skills to mentor and coach members of the Business Center team
- Confidentiality regarding employee relations, workplace investigations, and performance management actions that require extreme discretion
- Skilled at defining and analyzing problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions in workplace investigations
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, coaching, and presentation delivery
- Ability to build effective relationships with business team members
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization in the areas of expertise while exercising good judgment when dealing with issues
- Highly organized, results-driven, and ability to multi-task
- Effective project management skills
Essential Functions- Mediate and resolve conflicts between employees and foster a harmonious work environment
- Implement initiatives to boost employee morale, satisfaction, and engagement within the organization
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures and guide both employees and managers
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints, allegations of misconduct, or policy violations, maintain confidentiality and ensure a fair process
- Collaborate with managers to address performance issues, facilitate improvement plans, and ensure the implementation of performance evaluations for exempt staff
- Develop and deliver training programs on employee relations topics such as conflict resolution, communication skills, and diversity and inclusion
- Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure all employee relations practices are legally compliant
- Serve as a point of contact for employees to address concerns, aid, and advocate for fair treatment
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and identify trends to enhance retention efforts and improve the offboarding process
- Perform other tasks as required
