Ledgent is seeking a Senior Accountant with expertise in SEC reporting for one of our clients in Tampa! This SEC Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Compile financial statements and prepare certain SEC periodic reports such as Form 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K.
• Prepare detailed tie-out and analyses for SEC filings, earnings call materials, and annual reports, to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Assist in gathering information from individual business units to include in the Annual and Quarterly Reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper support is obtained.
• Assist in the preparation of other SEC filings.
• Ensure compliance with SEC, FASB, GAAP rules and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of support for and work closely with the External Auditors.
• Assist in maintaining our in-house SEC reporting system.
• Review XBRL instance documents to ensure completeness of data tagging and compliance with SEC XBRL
• submission requirements.
• Provide quality support for external financial reporting.
• Ensure SOX compliance in related reporting areas.
• Perform other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

BA in accounting/finance or related field

* 3+ years of progressive experience in both public and/or industry accounting preferred.

* Strong understanding of SEC reporting and US GAAP.

* Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems.

• CPA or CMA a plus
