A biotech services company located in Research Triangle Park is looking for a part-time Lab Technician to work between the hours of 2:00 pm - 8:00pm, 5 days a week. Hours will vary depending on our daily workload so it would be a plus if candidates are available to work later than 8:00pm as necessary and are willing to work on non-scheduled days with notice.

This is an entry level position and job duties may vary depending on the company's needs as well as the ambitions of the candidate.

The ideal candidate should have experience in the biological sciences or similar field. Highly motivated students or recent graduates with an interest in DNA sequencing specifically or biotech in general tend to be our best employees.

Qualities we look for in candidates:

- Basic laboratory skills (emphasis on pipetting)
- Ability to work in both team and individual environments
-Strong communication skills
-Detail oriented
- Clean driving record

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

- Driving to customer sites in a company-provided car to pick-up DNA samples
- Processing DNA sequencing reactions while following GLP
- PCR purification
- Laboratory maintenance
