Job Location: Peabody, MA area - 50+% Remote (Local candidates only please)
In this role as a Control Systems Software Engineer, you will develop robotic/motion control software for capital equipment systems. The right person will have a combination of experience working with real-time motion controllers or motion control software, hardware communication, and real-time operating systems.
Please Note: Candidates must possess US Citizenship or US Greencard to be considered.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design, test, and modify robotics control software.
- Adapt to new hardware and enhance software.
- Optimize machine control software for multi-axis motor control systems.
- Create subsystem tests.
Position Requirements:
- Experience with C coding and RTOS (VxWorks ideally) as well as C++ or C#.
- BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical degree
- Experience writing software for robotics, motors, and servo systems experience ideally.
- Networking and communication protocol knowledge.
- Experience in embedded hardware/software.
- Understanding of electrical/mechanical systems.
- Real-time control familiarity.
- Hardware understanding (FPGA, PCB, etc.).
