What you will be doing:
- Point of communication to external customer(s), communicating to internal customer(s) re: management, operations, key suppliers, and other project stakeholders
- Manage multiple projects concurrently including scheduling all activities in PM program, schedule production time, monitor all tasks, and lead kickoff and status meetings
- Proposal Generation and Follow-up
- Develop SOW’s with deliverables in collaboration with customers and sales to establish, manage and control project scopes
- Manage customer changes (ECN) and pursue change orders
- Create Project Charters and assign responsibly to key stakeholders
- Monitor work in process and communicate progress, issues and status to Customer, Management and Staff as necessary
- Hold meetings with all stakeholders to communicate project direction and status
- Collaborate with customers, engineering and production to solve problems
- Communicate with internal and external Customers, Managers, Staff and suppliers to promptly resolve planning, engineering, manufacturing and material / process issues
- Develop plans, budgets, and timelines for completion of products
- Create, maintain and communicate project budgets, spending and financial status indicators
- Direct multi-disciplinary teams to and from product concept, through development and onto complete production levels
- Ensure accurate documents/specifications are generated for new product designs and manufacturing processes and documents are transferred to certifying agencies and relevant internal groups
- Establish and maintain configuration control of all project documents
- Support AS9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts
What you need to qualify:
- 5+ years' Program Management experience in contract aerospace manufacturing in machining/assembly projects
- Bachelor's degree, Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar
- Experience working with the FAA, Aviation Safety, Aircraft Certification Service, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Local Aircraft Certification Office, Airframe & Services Section
- Experience with Aerospace process specifications and qualifications
- Strong presenting, communicating, and team leadership skills
- MS Office and Project Management software experience
- Experience in understanding and complying with Customer specifications
- Knowledge of Aircraft Cargo Systems a plus
- Prior participation in an AS9100 certified organization
- Excellent blueprint reading / interpretation skills
- PgMP or PMP Certification a Plus!
- JIRA experience
- Ability to travel as required to support projects
