Shift: 5am to 130pm or 6am to 230pm Mon-Fri

Job Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and controlling a specific range of aerospace machines and machining equipment. You will operate machines such as Waterbury Farrel, Nakishimada, and 1D2B heading machines, Grinders, Lathes, and Mills. The role requires reading and understanding tooling requirements from shop work orders and using standard measuring tools with .0002" accuracy. You will also need to read and interpret complex drawings, including hydraulic and pneumatic schematic drawings and symbols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce conforming aerospace parts according to Work Order instructions—non-commercial or automotive parts.
• Run jobs/work orders within the setup and run rates specified for each job.
• Set up and operate machines as indicated by the Manager or lineup sheet, ensuring features meet Job Card or drawing specifications.
• Select or create the appropriate tools, set up the machine, and verify that features meet Job Card specifications. Verification to be done by Lead Man, QA, or Manager.
• Inspect parts regularly, recording readings according to the Company’s Quality Manual.
• Operate multiple machines, ensuring quality control is maintained.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including daily and weekly cleaning of machines.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance as outlined in the Preventive Maintenance Guide.
• Follow all company safety rules to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform additional duties as required or directed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to perform job duties as described.
• Ability to regularly lift and handle parts trays weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Competence in completing necessary paperwork to finalize work orders and instructions.
