Our client, a multi-location OBGYN practice in the Newton MA area, is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, coding, and collections. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.

This is a tight knit group of employees with years of tenure. They have expanded and are looking for a hands on biller that is an excellent communicator - both internally and externally.

## Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Review and appeal denied or unpaid claims
- Utilize medical coding knowledge (ICD-9, ICD-10) for accurate billing
- Maintain patient billing records and update information as needed
- Collaborate with medical staff to clarify billing discrepancies
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and overdue payments
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
