Job Description
The endocrinology medical office is looking for a registered/certified nutritionist or dietitian for a wellness/weight loss program focused on diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and thyroid issues. We are looking for an individual to do clinical consults within our practice. Our program utilizes body composition analysis combined with personalized food plans.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills. A nutrition science foundation is a must. Great potential to do clinical nutrition in a medical setting.
Currently, we are only looking for One day per week to start. The ability to work occasional Saturdays is a plus but not required.
Qualifications and responsibilities:
- Evaluate the Medical Nutrition Therapy needs of the patients and implement appropriate interventions to improve their nutritional status
- Provide individual nutrition and health coaching
- Develop and conduct group nutrition education programs
- Prior experience preferred
- Valid and active certifications and education
- Knowledge of contemporary principles and practices of nutrition, the nutritional value of foods, interpretation, and implementation of special diets, and meal planning
- Knowledge of EMR (Practice Fusion) is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of InBody Body Composition analyzer is a plus but not required
