We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team as a contractor. The BCBA Contractor will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing and overseeing behavior intervention plans, and providing supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). This position offers flexible working hours or 8 hours shifts on-site, depending on company needs.
As a BCBA Contractor, you will have the autonomy to manage your caseload while ensuring high-quality, evidence-based ABA services are delivered to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving socially significant behaviors, fostering independence, and enhancing the quality of life for children and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs): Conduct comprehensive FBAs, including direct observations, data analysis, and interviews with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) Development: Create individualized BIPs based on assessment data, incorporating evidence-based practices to address challenging behaviors and skill acquisition.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs, ensuring data-driven decision-making for progress monitoring.
- Supervision & Training: Provide supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs), ensuring the integrity of ABA programming and adherence to best practices.
- Family & Caregiver Training: Provide ongoing support, training, and guidance to families and caregivers, fostering collaboration to generalize skills across settings.
- Collaboration with Team Members: Work collaboratively with other professionals, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, educators, and healthcare providers, to deliver holistic and integrated services.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Monitor progress by regularly reviewing data, making necessary adjustments to interventions, and ensuring that goals are being met.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, session notes, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Compliance with Ethical Standards: Uphold the BACB Code of Ethics and remain current on best practices, new research, and professional standards in the field of ABA.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities (Preferred).
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting FBAs, developing BIPs, and overseeing the implementation of ABA programs.
- Strong leadership and supervision skills to guide RBTs and other team members.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in data collection, data analysis, and report writing.
- Knowledge of ABA software systems (such as CentralReach, Catalyst, or similar).
- Ability to work independently as a contractor, managing caseloads, time, and priorities effectively.
- Current state licensure (where applicable) or willingness to obtain.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
- Experience working in various environments (home, school, clinic) is preferred.
- Familiarity with Medicaid and private insurance billing procedures.
- Previous experience supervising BCaBAs and RBTs.
Work Environment:
- Flexible work schedule with the option for remote services when appropriate.
- Some travel may be required to provide on-site services, attend meetings, and conduct training sessions.
