Electronic Carbide Inc. is a growing and innovative aerospace/defense machine shop located in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Grass Valley Ca. We are in need of candidates with experience in CNC machining including set up, operation and programming of CNC mills and lathes. The ideal candidate(s) will be hard working, dedicated with good work ethic and the ability to work with little supervision. The ideal experienced candidates would have a minimum of 3 years operating and/or setting up CNC mills and/or lathes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Minimum 3-5 years experience in operation and/or set up of CNC mill/lathe

-Experience with Haas controlled CNC machines preferred

-Familiarity with tooling types, sizes and applications

-Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints and/or mechanical drawings

- Operate and/or set up CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications

-Prepare and load raw materials and parts into the machines

-Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result

- Perform quality checks on manufactured parts to ensure accuracy and consistency

- Follow manufacturing processes and procedures to meet production goals

-Mechanical aptitude and good math skills

-Knowledge of GD&T a plus

-Familiarity of measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, drop indicator, dial indicator, tool makers microscope, optical comparator)

- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency in the shop

- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

-Ability to lift 50 pounds

-Ability to stand for long periods
