Job Description: Seeking experienced CNC Mill and CNC Lathe Operators / Machinists for Industry Leading machine manufacturer! Candidates will be tasked with performing set-ups, edits, programming, and tool changes. Prior experience with each of those duties is required. Experienced Machinists will qualify for more starting pay than entry level operators. Great long term opportunity for employment with a great local company! Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM / Monday - Friday (Overtime Required, Including Saturdays if/when Needed)

Starting Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 Per Hour (Pending Experience), Paid Weekly!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs own Set Ups, Edits and some Programming
• May change worn cutters, using wrenches
• Starts machine, and turns hand wheel to feed work piece to cutter or vice versa, or engages automatic feeding mechanism.
• Turns valve handle to direct flow of coolant against cutter and work piece
• Lifts metal pieces <15# to be fabricated into the CNC machine.
• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on CNC lathes or CNC mills.
• Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, hand tools, and power tools
• Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
• Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
• Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
• May tend machine that mills work piece according to programmed cycle.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• May turn controls to adjust feed rate of work piece or speed of cutting tool.
• Records production output

Educational and/or Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 yrs experience in Manual Lathe/Mill position
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Work involves high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
• Must have a clean Criminal Background and be capable of passing a Drug Screen Test
• Must have Drivers License and reliable transportation
