Lead Finish Carpenter - Kalamazoo, MI
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to add to our growing team. This Lead Carpenter role oversees a crew of 3–4 laborers and carpenters while performing hands-on carpentry work on new construction projects, including commercial buildings, pole barns, and pre-engineered structures. The position combines field leadership with advanced carpentry skills, with a strong emphasis on rough framing, sheet metal siding, metal roofing, and other core carpentry tasks.

Work Environment
The workday typically begins with a planning session and crew orientation, where the team reviews project goals, safety considerations, and daily tasks. Typical projects include offices, churches, retail and restaurant spaces, pharmacies, automotive dealerships, warehouses, and other commercial buildings located in Kalamazoo, Richland, and surrounding areas. Standard hours are approximately 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, averaging around 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime based on project needs.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
