Our client is seeking a highly motivated Desktop Support Technician to join its Technology Services team supporting hospital campuses and clinical operations throughout Manhattan. This individual will provide hands-on technical support for end-user computing environments, ensuring that physicians, nurses, clinicians, researchers, administrative personnel, and hospital staff can effectively utilize technology critical to patient care and business operations.
The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for the installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of desktop and laptop computers, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, conference room technology, and related hardware and software assets. The successful candidate will respond to incidents and service requests, diagnose technical issues, document resolutions, and ensure adherence to technology standards and operational procedures.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Provide onsite and remote desktop support for Windows-based computers and related technologies throughout hospital and ambulatory care environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, network connectivity, printer, and application issues.
• Support Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 11, Office 365, Outlook, Teams, and enterprise applications.
• Install, configure, image, and deploy desktops, laptops, mobile devices, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals.
• Perform workstation refreshes, upgrades, replacements, and relocations.
• Support hospital technology initiatives including operating system migrations, hardware refreshes, device lifecycle management, and deployment projects.
• Maintain and update Active Directory user accounts, permissions, and security groups.
• Provide support for wired and wireless network connectivity issues.
• Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions within the organization's ticketing system.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure, Networking, Security, Clinical Applications, and other technical teams to resolve escalated issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, updates, and preventative support activities.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting mission-critical healthcare operations in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Assist with inventory management, asset tracking, and hardware asset reconciliation.
• Support conference rooms, audiovisual equipment, and end-user collaboration technologies as needed.
• Participate in special projects and technology rollouts as assigned.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
