You’ll work 32.5 hours per week, providing essential support as a co-teacher at both the elementary and high school levels. Your presence and expertise will be instrumental in meeting the needs of students with diverse learning abilities, helping them thrive in inclusive classroom environments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist credential (OH IS) required
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher or Intervention Specialist
- Deep understanding of various disabilities and strategies to promote student engagement
- Strong collaboration skills, able to partner effectively with co-teachers and support staff
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with general education teachers as a co-teacher in either an elementary or high school setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting interventions as necessary
- Communicate regularly with families and staff about student growth and challenges
- Create engaging and differentiated lessons that encourage participation from all learners
