Job Description

This role supports multiple departments in a precast yard by assembling forms, assisting the customs department, and performing a variety of general labor tasks. You contribute directly to the production of precast concrete products through hands-on work with tools, materials, and equipment in an outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in different departments within the precast yard as operational needs arise.
• Assemble precast forms according to specifications and safety guidelines.
• Support the customs department with general labor tasks and material handling.
• Perform general construction labor duties such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
• Help with concrete-related tasks, including preparation, pouring, and cleanup as needed.
• Operate or assist with forklift operations when required and if properly trained.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete daily production goals.

Essential Skills

• Experience with construction labor in an industrial or yard environment.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and measuring tools.
• Ability to safely operate basic power tools used in construction and production settings.
• Comfort working with concrete materials in a production or construction environment.
• Basic understanding of general labor practices, including material handling and site cleanup.
• Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and complete tasks reliably.
• Physical ability to work outdoors and perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry or form assembly in a precast or construction setting.
• Familiarity with forklift operation in a yard or production environment.
• Experience in production or manufacturing environments.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train in different departments.
• Strong attention to safety and adherence to workplace procedures.

Work Environment

Work takes place primarily outdoors in a precast yard, involving exposure to varying weather conditions and a busy production setting. The environment includes concrete production areas, construction materials, and equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and forklifts. Team members work on their feet for much of the day, performing physical tasks and collaborating closely with others to meet production goals while following established safety practices.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coeur D Alene, ID.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
