We're looking for an experienced MIG Welder to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you'll fabricate and weld a variety of sheet metal and structural steel products, including conveyors, tanks, frames, guards, chutes, covers, and more.

• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel (14-gauge through 1/4")
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and layouts
• Fit, fabricate, and assemble metal products to specifications
• Use grinders, sanders, and hand tools to finish welded products
• Inspect completed parts for quality and accuracy
• Mark and identify finished components correctly
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and finished products
• Maintain a safe and organized work area

✅ MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

✅ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

✅ Experience measuring and working accurately with tape measures

✅ Strong fitting, grinding, and metal finishing skills

✅ Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools

✅ Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus

1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Our fabrication facility combines modern manufacturing with historic character. The building is well-lit, features large windows, and provides a team-oriented atmosphere. Seasonal temperature changes are managed with fans and open-air ventilation during warmer months.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
