Job Title: Shipper and ReceiverJob DescriptionThis role supports daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, and shipping products and materials in a clean manufacturing environment. You will help maintain accurate inventory levels, ensure the safety of employees and products, and keep the warehouse organized and efficient. The position requires operating warehouse equipment such as a cherry picker, working within ERP systems, and using Microsoft programs to track and document all shipping and receiving activities.
Responsibilities- Verify and maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Perform regular inventory checks, including counting, weighing, and measuring products to ensure accuracy.
- Review invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders to confirm completeness and accuracy.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Maintain warehouse organization by performing cycle counts and ensuring products are stored correctly.
- Keep the warehouse and shipping areas clean, orderly, and safe in accordance with company standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including a cherry picker and other material handling tools, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Utilize ERP systems and Microsoft Office programs for tracking, reporting, and documentation of inventory and shipments.
- Assist with packing, picking, and material handling tasks as needed to support overall warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely and accurate shipping and receiving activities.
Essential Skills- Minimum of 3+ years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment performing shipping and receiving duties.
- Proven experience with inventory control, including performing cycle counts and tracking inventory levels.
- Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes, including packing, picking, and material handling.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as a cherry picker and forklift (or similar material handling equipment).
- Proficiency using computers and familiarity with ERP systems for inventory and shipment tracking.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs for basic reporting and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders.
- Ability to verify and maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Capability to inspect shipments for damage or defects and escalate issues appropriately.
- Understanding of ITAR-related requirements and ability to work in compliance with them.
- Familiarity with ESD-safe work environments and safe handling of sensitive materials.
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shipping area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Electronic knowledge is a plus and will support work in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a clean manufacturing or production environment.
- Comfort working with material handling tools such as pallet jacks and related equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments.
- Basic problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies and shipping issues.
