Job Title: Account Development Executive (Field Sales & Community Partnerships Representative)
Job Description
This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a brand-new delivery program in the Anchorage market by recruiting local small businesses to join a hub delivery partner network. You will work primarily in the field, visiting prospective businesses, pitching the program, qualifying leads, guiding applicants through the onboarding process, and helping organize community recruitment events. The position involves regular travel within a one- to two-hour driving radius and provides uncapped commission based on successful partner conversions.
Responsibilities
- Visit prospective local businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately one hour driving distance to promote the delivery partner program.
- Present and pitch the new delivery program opportunity to business owners and decision-makers, clearly explaining benefits and requirements to generate interest and encourage applications.
- Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them step-by-step through the application and onboarding process.
- Lead and manage sales pipeline activities in a CRM system, with a focus on accurate tracking and reporting within Salesforce.
- Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
- Collaborate with local influencers and organizations, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals and increase program awareness.
- Import Excel spreadsheets and enter weekly activity data into Salesforce to maintain up-to-date records of outreach, applications, and partner status.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with prospective partners, answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping solve issues that arise during the application process.
- Maintain a high sense of urgency and follow-through to ensure timely movement of prospects through the pipeline from initial contact to launch.
- Travel daily within the defined territory, managing your schedule to optimize field visits, events, and follow-up activities.
Essential Skills
- At least 2+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
- Demonstrated outside or field sales experience, including door-to-door or in-person business outreach.
- Experience using CRM systems, with Salesforce strongly preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly with small business owners.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present and pitch program offerings clearly and persuasively.
- Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline, track activities, and update records accurately in CRM and Excel.
- High level of professionalism, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with others.
- Strong sense of urgency and ownership, with the ability to drive tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, especially when supporting applicants in the field.
- Tech-savvy mindset, with experience working across multiple systems and technologies.
- Ability to travel up to approximately two hours round trip distance on a daily basis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior field sales experience is a strong plus.
- Previous roles involving sales negotiations or customer-facing persuasion are beneficial.
- Comfort working with community organizations, chambers of commerce, and economic development groups to build partnerships.
- Experience importing and managing data in Excel and syncing information with CRM platforms.
- Motivation to build community partnerships with small businesses and support local economic growth.
Work Environment
This position supports the Anchorage market and is primarily field-based, with work in the field 4–5 days per week. You will spend most of your time visiting local businesses, attending or hosting community recruitment events, and meeting with partners and prospects in person. The role requires regular driving within a one- to two-hour radius, with mileage reimbursement provided. You will use technology tools such as Salesforce and Excel to track activity, manage your pipeline, and report progress. The environment combines independent field work with close collaboration with a Field Manager and other local contractors, offering the opportunity to build strong relationships with small businesses and community organizations.
