This role supports commercial and industrial construction projects by performing a wide range of skilled and manual tasks on job sites. The skilled laborer works with multiple trades, operates various tools and equipment, and helps ensure projects progress safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor on commercial and industrial construction sites, including renovations and new builds.
- Support three or more trades such as metal panel installation, metal trim work, insulation, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
- Assist with concrete and other general construction trade tasks as needed.
- Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Operate construction equipment such as lifts, telehandlers, and skid steers under appropriate guidance and safety protocols.
- Follow verbal and written instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
- Lift, push, pull, and carry heavy materials and equipment as required for daily work activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on the job site.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and actively contribute to a safe and productive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other on-site personnel to coordinate work and resolve issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall project completion and team needs.
Essential Skills
- Broad hands-on experience in at least three of the following trades: metal panel installation, metal trim, insulation, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
- Experience with concrete and general construction trades.
- Ability and willingness to perform manual labor and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capability to push, pull, and carry heavy objects and materials safely throughout the workday.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a construction environment.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate lifts, telehandlers, and skid steers in a safe manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, team members, and other job site personnel.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and a strong track record of contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
- Reliable transportation to and from work each day to support consistent timeliness and attendance.
- Ability to work in extreme climates, including both hot summer and cold winter conditions, on a year-round basis.

- Ability to take direction, work independently when needed, and collaborate as part of a construction crew.
